Yes, it is possible. Follow the steps below to playprotected media files. Note that you cannot use the D-LinkMedia server for this purpose; only Microsoft's own software,Windows Media Connect allow you to stream DRM protected files

1) Download Windows Media Connect (

2) Install Windows Media Connect and grant access toDSM media player

3) Open Windows Media Player and load the protected mediafile(s). Windows Media Player will then acquire the licenseneeded for the protected file(s). Verify that the protectedfile(s) are playing correctly in Windows Media Player beforeproceeding.

4) On the DSM media player, select the Windows Media Connectserver. If the new server is not listed, restart computer and DSMmedia player, then try again.
