WARNING: DO NOT UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE OF THE DFL FIREWALL OVER AWIRELESS CONNECTION. DOING SO MAY DAMAGE THE UNIT.

Step 1. Download the firmware and save the file toyour computer. You may want to save the file to your desktop. Donot try to run or launch the file - it will not work.

Step 2. Open a web browser and type the IP addressof the firewall in the address bar (default is192.168.1.1). Press Enter.

Step 3. The default username isadmin (all lower case) and the password isadmin (all lower case). ClickOK.

Step 4. Click the Tools tab atthe top and then click Upgrade on the left.


Step 5. Under Upgrade unit's firmwareclick on Browse... and navigate to the.img file you downloaded in Step 1. Highlight the file byclicking on it once and click Open. ClickUpload firmware image. It will take a few secondsfor the upgrade to complete. When prompted, clickContinue.

Step 6. After the firewall reboots, close your webbrowser and re-open it. Enter the IP address of the firewall(default is 192.168.1.1) to reconnect with the web-basedconfiguration. Enter username admin and passwordadmin. Click OK. The firmwareupgrade is now complete.

Step 7. You can now reconfigure thefirewall.
